Birthright citizenship is the term describing our government’s policy that gives babies born in the U.S. instant citizenship — even if their parents are not citizens, even if they are from a hostile country! Currently, tens of thousands of pregnant women cross our borders annually to get free prenatal care; free maternity care; instant citizenship for their babies; and the right to remain in the U.S. indefinitely! And this is going on while American families cannot afford to have children! The rewards consist of instant citizenship for their babies and a lifetime of welfare for their mothers and, eventually, all
Read more

A tea party crowd on the steps of the old capitol greeted state Senate President Mike Haridopolos, R-Merritt Island, with chants of “E-Verify, E-Verify” today. Haridopolos did not disappoint, telling the crowd he wanted to “verify” that the employee-screening measure would be part of the Senate’s immigration-enforcement package. House Speaker Dean Cannon, R-Winter Park, said yesterday that his chamber would propose a bill requiring E-Verify for all public employers starting in 2012, and for all private companies with more than 100 employees in 2013. It sounds good … but it’s not nearly good enough. There is absolutely no reason why
Read more

President Obama Continues to Ignore Reality … and so do his followers. In his State of the Union (click here to read ours), the president barely touched on the issue that galvanized the nation against his Administration — illegal immigration. And when he did mention it, he got it all wrong. The President: “Now, I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration. I am prepared to work with Republicans and Democrats to protect our borders, enforce our laws and address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the
Read more

U.S. Border Control Chairman Edward I Nelson has just issued his 2011 State of the Union message with regard to border and immigration policy. To read it or download a copy, click here right now. In his State of the Union message, Nelson lays the blame for our border and immigration crisis where it belongs — not Mexico, not drug smugglers, but our own U.S. Congress who consistently puts their own petty political agenda ahead of the interests of the people they have sworn to serve. And he reminds the nation that both major political parties deserve equal credit for
Read more

One of the first priorities for Governor-elect Susana Martinez is to revoke the thousands of drivers’ licenses which have been issued by New Mexico to illegal aliens in recent years. After Arizona passed SB1070, illegal aliens have been flocking to New Mexico which does not currently require proof of citizenship to obtain a license. Outgoing open-borders advocate, Gov. Bill Richardson, made it worse by passing a law banning DMV clerks from asking an applicant if they are in the country legally. As a result, New Mexico had become a favorite with human smugglers and those who make their living from selling fraudulent
Read more

On track with 2011 predictions, the New York Times notes that as the federal government continues to totally fail in dealing with the illegal immigration problems, states are jumping in and standing up for themselves. Legislative leaders in at least half a dozen states say they will propose bills similar to a controversial law to fight illegal immigration that was adopted by Arizona last spring, even though a federal court has suspended central provisions of that statute. Ironically, the central argument the federal government leans on is that they pre-empt states from enforcing immigration laws. Yet they fail to secure
Read more

VISA Exit Tracking Years Away!!!! Five years after 9/11 and after billions of dollars were squandered on pork and “earmarks”, the Department of homeland Security has given up on plans to develop a facial or fingerprint recognition system to determine whether foreign visitors leave the country, officials say. On the US-VISIT website, the DHS claims the program is a top priority because it: * Enhances the security of our citizens and visitors * Facilitates legitimate travel and trade * Ensures the integrity of our immigration system * Protects the privacy of our visitors They go on to state that “US-VISIT
Read more
