SPRINGFIELD, Va., Feb., 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – After decades of suffering under the burden of unfunded federal mandates that require states to pick up the cost of illegal immigration, many state governments are fighting back. Since the Reagan Administration, the federal government has done nothing of substance to stem the tide of illegal aliens entering our country. In response to rising crime rates, identity theft, voter fraud and other problems caused by illegal immigrants, a number of state legislatures have passed laws cracking down on illegal aliens and the employers who hire them. Instead of applauding these actions, the Obama Administration
Read more

Today, U.S. Border Control, Border Control Foundation and other organizations received the consent of the Clerk of the House of Representatives to file amicus curiae briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court supporting an effort to prevent the Obama Administration from using a flawed 2010 Census that included foreign nationals in the count to alter
Read more

America’s news media has fallen from being a watchdog and defender of liberty to a worthless, sniveling pawn of the power brokers in Washington. That is why, today, after the Iowa primaries, the American people still have little useful information on the candidates. Yes, our media is great at telling us which candidate is the most boring, the most attractive or what their favorite snack might be. Who cares? Americans need to know which candidates have the best ideas, the strength of character, courage and the leadership skills to put our nation back on track. It doesn’t hurt to read this several times. Let us do everything that we can do to insure that this is not our obituary! In 1887, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.. Americans know how to pull together in a crisis way better than FEMA or any other government agency. While the towers burned and collapsed on 9/11, a half million people were evacuated from Lower Manhattan by a civilian flotilla of ferries, tug boats and other vessels—the largest boatlift in history. Watch this amazing video and be reminded of just how we Americans can work together. It’s too bad this nationalistic effect only occurs when we’re up against seemingly overwhelming events.

Recently, the City of Dallas, Texas passed an ordinance stating that if a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide proof of insurance, the car is towed. To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of insurance to have the car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars. Shortly after the “No Insurance” ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days. 80+ % of the impounded cars were driven by illegals. Obama really didn’t have a chance to be reelected … until the stupid party, excuse me, I meant the Republican party, trotted out their field of candidates. Now he does! Take Rick Perry, for example. He meets ALL of the Republican Party’s criteria. He has a nice smile, he has good hair, he rolls up his sleeves at the fairgrounds and he can make a good speech. He meets their entire criteria. Regarding a candidate’s stance on fiscal policy, defense matters, privacy, education, jobs, welfare and, most importantly, illegal immigration, the stupid Party has no litmus test. Their only concern
Read more

Bread and Circuses: This phrase originates in Rome around 100 AD when a Roman poet describes how the populace traded their birthright of political involvement for cheap food and entertainment. Bread and circuses was a plan devised by Roman politicians to buy the votes of the poor, seeing this as an effective way to rise to power. It’s Monday night and I’ve just watched the “bread and circuses” act of our federal government. The Fourth of July is when they get all patriotic; marching bands; all services in dress uniforms; Americana at its best. Don’t get me wrong. Aside from being a long weekend and an opportunity to have some hot dogs and beer in the back yard, the 4th of July celebrates America’s independence from an imperial government that was taxing us to death; was indifferent to our problems; and crushed ideas of liberty and freedom. If those words seem to describe what is beginning to happen again in America, then it is time for Americans to rise up again and declare our independence from a Congress that seems to have forgotten both the words and the meaning of our Declaration of Independence. Only this time, we
Read more

In our May 26th blog, Border Control celebrated the Supreme Court victory that allowed states like Arizona to pressure businesses into adopting E-Verify or lose their business license. It was a long battle that was fought up through the court system. It was an expensive battle for the citizens of Arizona. And it was a difficult battle when you consider that Arizona was taking on the power, influence and money of all those business interest and political organizations who support open borders, mass illegal migration and the hiring of illegal aliens over American workers. They faced the combined strength of the U.S. Chamber
Read more

How can you tell when a politician is lying? It’s easy. They’re lying when their lips are moving! The Soviet Union used to use what is called “the Big Lie” technique for brainwashing their people … and the world. Actually, “the Big Lie” technique may have begun with Adolf Hitler who referred to it in his “Mein Kampf” and was used regularly by his propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels. “A big lie, repeated long enough, eventually becomes the truth. It has to be “so colossal that no one would believe that someone could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.” Sadly,
Read more

VICTORY! The case of U.S. Chamber of Commerce v. Whiting, et al. Frustrated at Congress’s inability — or unwillingness — to close the borders and crack down on employers who prefer to hire illegal aliens over American workers, state and local governments began adopting their own policies to deal
Read more

President Obama, bowing to the powerful open borders/mass immigration lobbies and hoping to add 20-30 million new Democrat voters, encouraged his radical left-wing audience to take action on amnesty for illegal aliens this Summer. Obama is trying to build his case for amnesty by claiming that the borders are now safe and the crime rate is falling. He is implying that illegal immigration is under control so it is now time to assimilate those Mexicans who are already here. Talk about lying with a straight face! How dare he make such a claim when every reliable statistic documents that our
Read more

I’ll tell you what bugs me — BUGS! That’s right. Researchers have reported an alarming combination: bedbugs carrying “superbug” germs. Canadian scientists detected drug-resistant MRSA bacteria in bedbugs from three hospital patients from a downtrodden Vancouver neighborhood (densely populated with illegal aliens). Bedbugs have not been known to spread disease, and there’s no clear evidence that the five bedbugs found on the patients or their belongings had spread MRSA or a second less dangerous drug-resistant germ. However, bedbugs can cause itching that can lead to excessive scratching. That can cause breaks in the skin that make people more susceptible to
Read more

Birthright citizenship is the term describing our government’s policy that gives babies born in the U.S. instant citizenship — even if their parents are not citizens, even if they are from a hostile country! Currently, tens of thousands of pregnant women cross our borders annually to get free prenatal care; free maternity care; instant citizenship for their babies; and the right to remain in the U.S. indefinitely! And this is going on while American families cannot afford to have children! The rewards consist of instant citizenship for their babies and a lifetime of welfare for their mothers and, eventually, all
Read more

The Network plans to continue boycotting Georgia (although, it appears they’ll still be headquartered there) until the legislation is tossed out. The response around the world was overwhelmingly positive. Even nations recently antagonistic to America appeared to be pleased with the news. And despite everything that President Obama has done wrong in his term of office, there is no question that his decision to send a SEAL team into Pakistan to kill or capture bin Laden, without advising that nation’s President, took some guts. This nation cannot survive many more years of incompetent, self-serving buffoons or radical, extremist politicians. Unfortunately, for decades, the Republican party’s only goal has been to put an ass in a chair. Their litmus test for a candidate had nothing to do with intelligence, integrity, but only whether he or she could win. And that’s how we ended up with Obama. In these troubled times, we need superior candidates, not retreads like Gingrich or clowns like Donald Trump. If you are impressed with Trump’s remarks, then vote for his speech writer. Trump doesn’t have a clue. Officers noticed the abandoned vehicle because its headlights were on and it was missing license plates, according to an official statement. The truck was left in the Kilometro 20 neighborhood of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico’s murder capital and the scene of car bombings blamed on drug cartels. When they inspected the vehicle, police found several boxes full of detonator cartridges, which are used to ignite the charge in explosive devices.
