U.S. Border Control

Inadequate Border Protection

Subject: Inadequate Border Protection

Your constitutional duties dictate that you are to protect our borders. It appears that you have forgotten that requirement and I suggest you re-read your oath of office.

Before 9/11 you were quoted as saying "Mexico is our friend." The definition of a "friend" is an ally or supporter. Based on the information contained in this letter, I believe the correct word is "enemy" or add "un" before friendly!

I read with disgust the daily newspapers here in Tucson. Practically every day there are articles about:

There are estimated to be 11-15 million illegal aliens roaming freely in American streets. I have read that you plan on granting amnesty to these illegal aliens- these criminals. I sincerely hope that is not true. Don't you remember the last amnesty in 1986 which was to be the last amnesty?

Since then our inept politicians have granted SEVEN more amnesties. Amnesties only encourage more illegal aliens to enter since they know that they will eventually be granted amnesty. When will this ever cease? Mexican authorities are PERMITTING and using various means of DECEPTION and DECEIT. Just some of them include:

Mr. President, these and other violation of our border have been going on for over 20 years and nothing has been done to stop it.

What is it going to take to correct this obvious violation of the laws of our country? I seriously doubt if another 9/11 will wake up any of our ignorant politicians!

What are you going to do NOW- not months of negotiations, debates, discussions, prolonged decisions- to bring America back to where it once was?

J.N.
Tucson, AZ

P.S. I doubt if your staff has the gumption to show you this letter. Regardless, you can be assured that your actions regarding the porous border is going to be an issue at the next election. Whose side do you want to be on?
