U.S. Border Control

Those who came here legally cannot understand why U.S. government 'gives these people everything'

I am a naturalized citizen of this country. My family, mom, dad, my brother and I, came here from Finland in 1953. Before this country would let us in, we had to wait 3 years for the quota that was allowed to immigrate from our country. When it was our turn to come here we all had to be in perfect health. They even insisted that my tonsils would have to be removed or else they did not want me here. We all had to go to the dentist to make sure that we did not have any tooth decay.

The paper work that my parents had to do and the background checks took a very long time to complete. We almost gave up and decided to go to Canada instead.

Another thing we had to have was a sponsor. Just think that a family had to guarantee that they would support us if my dad was unable to work. Think of the responsibility that they took upon themselves to sponsor us .

I cannot understand that this government will give these people everything , including health care , welfare and whatever else they need.

The people that came to this country legally will suffer the loss of government services and will have to pay more taxes to support the people that are trying to abuse our system. Isn't it bad enough that we are spending billions on a war that we do not want.
