Obituary U.S.A.

USA - Rest in Peace

It doesn’t hurt to read this several times.

Let us do everything that we can do to insure that this is not our obituary!

In 1887, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

    • From bondage to spiritual faith;
    • From spiritual faith to great courage;
    • From courage to liberty;
    • From liberty to abundance;
    • From abundance to complacency;
    • From complacency to apathy;
    • From apathy to dependence;
    • From dependence back into bondage.”

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in  St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by:  Obama: 19  |  McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by:  Obama: 580,000  |  McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million  |  McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:  Obama: 13.2  |  McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…”

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s – and they vote – then we can say goodbye to the USA  in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, ignore this omen.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom..

This is truly scary! We are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic. Someone should point this out to Obama. Of course, we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution.

There couldn’t be more at stake than on Nov 6, 2012.

    So are you trying to tell me that the poor should have no voting rights? When this country was started it gave voting rights only to land owning white men, is that you want to return to? I understand upholding US immigration laws, because flow of illegal immigration needs to stop. I don’t care if they pick the fruits and vegetables, but they should be in the country legally. I am angry that just because we have appox. 11-20 illegal immigrants, that they feel that we ought to let them stay and become US citizens. That is just wrong. The US government should work to protect it’s citizens
    first. But I don’t like the attitude that you set about poor people in general. Poor illegal immigrants don’t vote in our general elections for the most part, so stop listening to so much FOX News BS. I check all the facts from both sides, in order to make a good decision. I am sick of the Pres. Obama bashing you always do. While I don’t agree with him on the issue of illegal immigration and probably never will, he has been a President then Mcain would have. What do you people do put your head in the sand when it comes to any GOP leader.
    Yes, I do find many of the GOP leaders to be racists and idiots, they are just subtle about it as are some in the Tea Party. But stopping illegal immigration so that US citizens can again get those much need is about all I’ll agree with any of them on.

      No, we are certainly not suggesting that the poor should have no voting rights. We are, however, suggesting that America is on a downward path. And while there are multiple reasons for this crisis, a huge reason is that the government is creating a class of citizens that is wholly dependent on the state for its lodging and sustinance.

      They are (1) government workers who now outnumber Americans working in the private sector; permanent welfare recipients; permanent unemployment recipients; and illegal aliens.

      In the old days, a politician would hang our near the voting booths handing out five dollar bills if people voted for him. Today, they hand out unemployment, welfare, food stamps, public housing, free health care, etc… to an underclass of Americans that have been enslaved by our government.

      And the few remaining working Americans and small businessmen are being forced to pick up the tab for all of this outrageous political corruption.

      As for whether the poor should have voting rights, I kind of like the idea of limiting voting rights to people who pay taxes, in any amount, so they would have some skin in the game and might care about what our government is doing other than feeding them.

        Oops! Almost forgot. Illegal aliens, in massive numbers ARE voting. And we don’t get our information from FOX news.

        First, all illegal aliens that have been granted amnesty are voting, along with the hundreds of relatives imported under our family reunification policies.

        Second, thanks to Bill Clinton and the Motor-Voter law, all illegal aliens who apply for driver’s licenses are asked if they would also like to register to vote! And under Motor-Voter, the motor vehicle employees are prohibited from telling them that this privilege is limited to U.S. Citizens and have been warned that if they dare to ask if the person is a U.S. citizen, they will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law by the U.S. Civil Rights commission.
