U.S. Border Control

Retired Border Agent Shares His Views

From military service in the Viet Era to decades as a member of the U.S.. Border Patrol from 1972, my partners and I have seen the never ending invasion of this country. Many events in history, from the Mariel Boatlift when Castro opened his prisons, mental wards and sent convicted murderers, incurable maniacs to Florida on leaky boats is well remembered.

The 1980 El Salvadorian Civil War and Immigration policies allowed stay of deportation for all claiming persecution or fear of life, including known members of the MS-13 Gangs in San Salvador. As an undercover Agent working human trafficking and narcotics organized crime after the first 1986 IRCA, the failure of that political fiasco was beyond belief as well as the 7 Congressional Amnesties that followed, each filled with fraudulent admissions and insufficient Investigators to ensure compliance of labor sanctions laws. Both political parties for over twenty years have made enforcement efforts of 8 USC, 1324, 1325 and 1326 a joke.

Many of my partners, uniformed as well as Investigators have been killed on duty, gunbattles to lethal assaults through the years. Policies from 1986 restricted Border Patrol Agents from Farm and Ranch Checks, Industry and Business checks without a warrant. Interior enforcement  Special Agents were few in number after the first Amnesty, two or three to cover Fraud to Employer Sanctions per State. 2.7 million SAWs legalized disappeared and a secondary invasion of OTMS and Mexican nationals flooded the Borders which continues to this day.

Journalists from American Legion, Time, CNN Lou Dobbs to World Report HD NET have made an impact in 2004 here in Arizona and the nation. Many retired Agents were interviewed due to a "gag" order for active duty agents by DHS. Never have I seen such massive numbers of illegal aliens crossing our borders, millions yearly since 2002 Including Special Interest Aliens. I wrote an article for Team America PAC, must read section titled Strange Times on the Border which is factual and concise.

Frosty Wooldridge, an author and Immigration Reform activist toured the smuggling corridors of Arizona with numerous retired and active duty law enforcement officers and presented the facts, few medias care to touch in this politically correct age.

I'm aware now that U.S. Border Control (USBC) has been involved in national security issues concerning illegal immigration since 1988, during a period of time when most citizen's would never get involved in any issue. This is our nation, and despite politicians..... citizens and lawfully admitted resident aliens, taxpayers still have the ability to "speak out" as a majority voice.

Special Interest Groups have always controlled Congress, elected officials like "puppets on a string" while millions of taxpayer's concerns are ignored.. It's the same old situation with politicians believing no one will get involved after elections are over in 2004. Prop 200 in Arizona is being fought by both Republican leaders and a Democratic Governor, Special Interest Groups and the Chamber of Commerce. A 51 per cent will of the people is being challenged. Opponents don' t have a clue of reality. There are thousands of U.S. Citizens of Mexican heritage in Arizona, fine people that were born here or parents that legally immigrated that voted for Prop 200, a common sense initiative.

Many thanks to USBC and your efforts in Congress, Mr. Nelson. These people are U.S. Civil Servants that answer to the will of the people with an oath of office little different than the oath I swore to in 1972. If they cannot fulfill their duties, citizens should remind them, by emails, faxes and phone calls, why they were elected. With the exception of Congressman Tom Tancredo of Colorado, integrity, professionalism is not a factor with many elected officials.
