USBC Chairman Lashes Out At Mexican Diplomats
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S Border Control Chairman Edward Nelson today expressed outrage at the joint statement delivered by the Mexican consuls-general and the Foreign Ministry officials who had gathered in San Antonio to condemn Operation Rio Grande, the latest effort by the U.S. Immigration Service to control the human tide of illegal immigrants pouring across America's borders.
"Illegal migration is not 'a natural phenomenon' as the Mexican government would have us believe. It is, instead, a serious crime and a clear violation of American sovereignty." said Chairman Nelson. The Mexican government does nothing to stop illegal migration because it is in their economic interests to have millions of their citizens migrate to the United States, especially those with who have no job skills and no money or those with serious long-term health care problems."
"America has become a favorite dumping ground for Mexicans their own government cannot (or chooses not to) care for. These diplomats are total hypocrites."
"Mexico has purposedly been dragging its feet in its efforts to stop illegal migration, drug trafficking or alien smuggling. They even refuse to take back Mexican criminals that have been caught and convicted in our country."
"These diplomats are well aware of the fact that their citizens are being exploited, robbed and even murdered by the coyotes who smuggle them into our country. They are aware that many are carrying drugs into America that will wind up in the veins of American children."
"They are right when they suggest that their illegal migrants are in danger. However, they can protect them from danger by keeping them in Mexico and finding them Mexican jobs or Mexican welfare checks, food stamps or health care benefits. The failure of mexico's government to care for its own citizens is not America's responsibility.
"America has always been the sanctuary of last resort for victims of oppression and persecution. But today, our nation is hardening its heart to those refugees who really need our help and that is the real tragedy of permitting millions of illegal aliens into America."
"Now that many illegals are transporting drugs as they enter this country, our Border Patrol, which has suffered more than 200 cross border attacks recently, should worry less about being "sensitive" and more about being bushwhacked by the drug cartels killers who now control our southern border and most immigrant traffic."
"U.S. Border Control feels that America has been both patient and generous with Mexico. We have given them trade treaties that put American businesses at great disadvantage (which accounts for our trade deficit with Mexico); we have given them billions of taxpayer dollars to shore up their economy; we have continued their favored nation status even though it should have been denied for their total lack of effort in combating drugs; and, we have given their illegal immigrants everything from free health care and food to subsidized housing."
"In return, we've been called racists, imperialists and, most recently, murderers. They are biting the hand that has been feeding them and I am sick and tired of it."
"Border Control has recently issued letters both to President Clinton and President Zedillo announcing our plans for a national boycott of all goods made in Mexico unless and until that country begins to accept its responsibilities to prevent their citizens from illegally migrating to America and to join us in stopping the drugs that flow across the Mexican-American border."
